In the interests of justice and equilibrium; an Arab lobby has to be created to counter the ubiquitous pro-Israel lobbies in the world। The present imbalance, especially in the U.S., is unacceptable. There is a grave danger with the State of Israel receiving $2.5 billion annually in military aid alone, that financial advantages enjoyed by it will leave a permanent state of injustice. The next step would be to have a watchdog monitoring the press in the Northern hemisphere for balance and objectivity. The current trend for Europe and the U.S. to voice platitudes and make sounds of political correctness every time Israel commits atrocities is unacceptable when their actions and policies indicate the opposite. It is in everyone's interest to see a peaceful solution to this conflict. In times past, the majority of the populations in the West would automatically believe the State's explanation, however, in this modern and sophisticated society, people are far too politically aware of the ongoing reality for the status quo to remain. The internet, satellite T.V., activists and growing public awareness has sounded the death knell for the ability to let one State, to, literally, get away with murder. Israel's actions have a direct consequence for the rest of the world, and the rest of the world is now watching Israel. Land has to be returned and the Right to Return must be enshrined by a U.N. Charter. The Balfour Declaration was not designed for ethnic cleansing and forced migration. The first step to address injustice has to be a halt to illegal Jewish settlements and "natural expansion", followed by a lifting of an embargo that is tantamount to a war crime; the War Crimes investigators must be allowed into Gaza before the evidence of the use of white phosphorous is destroyed. A logical step to initiate this, has to be the establishment of a special port, with docking facilities in the Gaza Strip, where international aid vessels can circumnavigate the blockade. A media campaign has to be initialized for this to succeed, alongside a parallel private lobby campaign.

  1. the Hamas charter calls for the genocide of Jews in Article 7 based on medieval Muslim hadiths. It also promotes the Judeophobic slander, plagiarism and forgery called the Protocos of the Elders of Zion. In other words, the Hamas charter is based on lies about Jews and calls for genocide against them. Jews have been oppressed in Arab/Muslim lands for more than a 1000 years. But the usual propaganda in Western countries --which is meant to cover up and retroactively justify their own Judeophobia-- hides info such as that as well as the fact that the Arab nationalist movement was mainly pro-Nazi and that the chief Palestinian Arab leader, Haj Amin el-Husseini, collaborated in the Holocaust. These are facts that you seem to want to overlook. Hamas should not be allowed to govern any place in the world, even if they are the "people's choice" and were "democratically elected." Hitler won a referendum in Germany. So what?

About lobbies in the USA, don't you know that the Saudi lobby and the lobbies of other Arab states are very influential in the USA?? Do you know that Arab funding twists academic "opinion" in the UK and US to favor the Arab side, the Arab lies?

  2. the UK has been pro-Muslim since the early 1920s when Toynbee wrote his book about the poor Turks. In 1922 the UK collaborated with the Turks in driving the Greeks out of Smyrna and massacring Armenians there.

  3. forgot to add, Titus, that the Hamas is holding an Israeli soldier captive in Gaza [if he is still alive]. They refuse to allow Red Cross access to him to ascertain his condition, as stipulated by international law. Do you agree with this violation of int'l law by Hamas?? Yet they want to bargain with Israel for him over prisoners that Israel holds. Israel does allow Red Cross access to prisoners that it holds. Hamas wants to bargain with this captive, Gilad Shalit, but we don't even know if he is dead or alive. Is that inhuman, ghoulish behavior by Hamas OK with you?
